The Kaopectate Multi-Symptom Relief for Diarrhea Upset Stomach in Vanilla (11oz) and the Kaopectate Max Multi-Symptom Relief for Diarrhea Upset Stomach in Peppermint (8oz) provide liquid formulations for easy, on-the-go administration.
All Kaopectate products are formulated with Bismuth subsalicylate, a trusted antacid ingredient proven to help relieve temporary stomach and gastrointestinal discomfort. Whether it's diarrhea, nausea, gas, indigestion, or heartburn, Kaopectate targets the source of the issue to offer soothing, calming relief.
Kaopectate's liquid and caplet medicines are designed for adults and children 12 years of age and older. The directions for use vary slightly across the product line:
- For the Kaopectate Extra Strength Gas Relief Liquid, shake well before using and do not take more than 20mL in 24 hours unless under the advice and supervision of a physician.
- For the Kaopectate Multi-Symptom Anti-Diarrheal & Upset Stomach Reliever Caplets, take 2 caplets (1 dose) with water, swallowing them without chewing. Repeat the dose every 1/2 hour to 1 hour as needed, but do not exceed 8 doses in 24 hours. Use until diarrhea stops, but not more than 2 days.
- For the Kaopectate Anti Diarrheal and Upset Stomach Reliever Soft Chews, take 2 chews (1 dose) and repeat the dose every 1/2 hour to 1 hour as needed, but do not exceed 8 doses in 24 hours. Use until diarrhea stops, but not more than 2 days.
- For the Kaopectate Multi-Symptom Relief for Diarrhea Upset Stomach liquids, shake well before each use and take 1 dose (30mL) every 1/2 hour to 1 hour as needed, but do not exceed 8 doses (240mL) in 24 hours. Use until diarrhea stops, but not more than 2 days.
- For the Kaopectate Max Multi-Symptom Relief for Diarrhea Upset Stomach liquids, shake well before each use and take 1 dose (30mL) every 1/2 hour to 1 hour as needed, but do not exceed 4 doses (120mL) in 24 hours. Use until diarrhea stops, but not more than 2 days.
